The Ghan runs from March to November inclusive between Adelaide, Alice Springs and Darwin. It does not run during December, January and February.
The Ghan service options include Platinum, Gold Suite, Gold Premium Twin, Gold Twin or Gold Single Service.
Fares vary according to the time of year, the following seasons apply:
High Season - May to August inclusive
Shoulder Season - March, April, September, October, November
