The Ghan is one of the worlds great rail journeys. It travels through Alice Springs on its 2,979kms from Adelaide to Darwin (and vice versa).

The Ghan departs Alice Springs weekly on Monday evenings at 6.15pm on the way to Darwin (March to November inclusive) and also Thursdays at 6.oopm on the way to Darwin (April to October inclusive)
Transfer from Darwin Station to Darwin select CBD hotels are included, transfers to Alice Springs Station are included for Platinum Service but not for Gold Service.

You may wish to visit Uluru and the Red Centre prior to or at the conclusion of your trip on The Ghan. Uluru is situated 468 kms from Alice Springs.
