Vintage Rail Journeys are proud to share their passion for Australian railway history. These carriages have been lovingly restored to their original 1960’s style and condition, and we hope you love the experience.

With all-inclusive dining, fine regional wines, barista-made coffee, and thoughtfully curated Off Train Experiences, every detail has been considered. Cabin Inclusions:

HERITAGE TWIN CABINS

Heritage Twin Cabins accommodate 2 guests
By day, you have a 3-seat lounge
By night, you have upper and lower bunks (one member of your party will need to be able to climb the ladder to the top bunk)
You have your own ensuite, complete with the original fold down hand basin and fold down toilet

HERITAGE SINGLE CABINS

We love to welcome solo guests onboard, and there is no single supplement for the Heritage Single Cabin
Each has a day lounge, foot rest, fold down washbasin and mirror
By night, your cabin converts to a cosy bed
A large, shared bathroom is available at either end of the
Single Cabin Carriage

LOUNGE CARRIAGE

Join your fellow travellers in the Lounge Carriage, the social heart of the train. This is where stories are shared, connections are made, and time slows down. With all-inclusive travel, you can savour Australian wines, beers, barista coffee, soft drinks and juices. Whether you’re mingling with fellow travellers or simply watching the landscape drift by, the Lounge Carriage is where the journey becomes just as memorableas the destination.

DINING CARRIAGE

Prepared fresh by the onboard chef, each dish is hearty, flavourful and inspired by the regions we travel through. Enjoy your meal with your beverage of choice, it’s all included in your fare. It’s warm Australian hospitality, served with a side of ever-changing scenery.

Luggage allowance:

There is limited room in your Cabin so please bring one ‘carry on’ bag (48cm h x 34cm w x 23cm d) per person and a garment bag. Both Heritage Twin and Single Cabins have hanging closets which will take 3-4 garments per person. In the Heritage Twin Cabin there is a luggage nook which will take 2 ‘carry on’ bags. In the Heritage Single Cabin your luggage can be placed on the luggage racks above your footrest. Slim or soft luggage can be stowed under your seat.
