DAY ONE

BOARD THE INDIAN PACIFIC IN PERTH

This morning join the Indian Pacific and, before long, you’ll be heading through the delightful Avon Valley. Take time out to enjoy this iconic train and its many creature comforts. Enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the Outback Explorer Lounge with fellow travellers in anticipation of your late-night arrival into the gold-mining township of Kalgoorlie where you’ll enjoy an Off Train Excursion.

OVERNIGHT: 2 nights Indian Pacific 2024.

DAY TWO

INDIAN PACIFIC, NULLARBOR PLAIN

Wake to a spectacular Nullarbor sunrise. Relax throughout the day taking in the outback vistas before visiting the extraordinary and slightly eerie ghost town of Cook, home to a thriving population of four. (B,L,D)

DAY THREE

INDIAN PACIFIC, ADELAIDE

As the landscape changes again and rich ochre sands make way for forests and farmlands, you will arrive into Adelaide in the morning and the culmination of your epic transcontinental crossing. After checking in to your accommodation in the heart of the CBD, there are plenty of opportunities to delve into its food, wine, arts and shopping scenes, and get to know the laid back capital.

ADELAIDE - LEISURE DAY

Today is yours to explore Adelaide and surrounds at your leisure. You may consider the Barossa Valley, only an hour by car from Adelaide, but when you’re transported to its lush vineyards and gently rolling hillsides, you’ll feel a world away. Famed for its wines, this historic region is home to over 80 cellar doors, including one of the oldest in the world.

ADELAIDE - LEISURE DAY

Today is yours to explore Adelaide and surrounds at your leisure. The elegant capital’s wine culture is matched with a buzzy food scene; find out why in its laneway bars and restaurants. Or perhaps explore its cultural, artistic, or retail life - the choice is yours.

DAY SIX

BOARD THE GREAT SOUTHERN IN ADELAIDE

When you board the train at Adelaide’s Parklands Terminal, you’ll discover a world of creature comforts. Unwind and familiarise yourself with your cabin as the journey begins, before savouring a long lunch onboard with your fellow travellers in the Outback Explorer Lounge.

Leaving Adelaide behind, you’ll be transported to the striking Grampians, one of the nation’s most stunning wilderness regions. This magical place is home to ancient sandstone mountains, indigenous rock art sites, dazzling waterfalls, and native fauna including wallabies and echidnas.

GREAT SOUTHERN - CANBERRA

After a restful night on board, today you’ll discover why Australia’s capital is more than just politics. While the jewel in Canberra’s crown is undoubtedly Parliament House, this compact city is also home to landmarks such as the National Portrait Gallery, Australian War Memorial and the National Arboretum, and today there are plenty of opportunities to delve into Canberra’s art, history and culinary culture. DAY EIGHT

GREAT SOUTHERN, NORTHERN NEW SOUTH WALES COAST AND BRISBANE

Feel the sand between your toes and the sea breeze in your hair as you enjoy brunch on the beach near Coffs Harbour this morning, with superb views of the Northern New South Wales coast.  Return to the train for more pampering as your rail journey continues to its destination, Brisbane.

DAY ONE

BOARD THE INDIAN PACIFIC IN PERTH

Your afternoon begins with a welcome gathering, in celebration of the start of your journey across the country and along the world’s longest stretch of straight railway track.

pend a relaxed afternoon getting to know your fellow travellers after you board the Indian Pacific and pull away from Perth, leaving the Indian Ocean behind and cruising toward the Pacific. Tonight, a delectable dinner is served on board, featuring contemporary Australian cuisine with seasonal and regional flavours. (D)

DAY TWO

KALGOORLIE AND COOK

Awake to see the sunrise unfold across Australia’s largest outback town, Kalgoorlie. This morning, we’ll delve into this mining town’s fascinating past and present, with a visit to the region’s gold-rush era, now modern-day, Super Pit mine. Decide how you want to explore Kalgoorlie on your choice of Off Train Experience, including morning refreshments.

Reboarding the train mid-morning for brunch, the remainder of the day is on board at your leisure. Sit back and enjoy the hospitality as you take in spectacular views of the seemingly endless expanse of the Nullarbor Plain.

You’ll cross borders and time zones, entering South Australia before dinner. Late evening, the train will pull into the almost-ghost-town of Cook for a nightcap, late-night bonfire and stargazing experience. (B,L,D)

DAY THREE

INDIAN PACIFIC, ADELAIDE

Arrive in Adelaide in the afternoon to complete your epic Nullarbor train crossing. (B,L)

Everyday Fare requires a 25% deposit when booking and the balance two months before you depart.
