Day 1

Adelaide

Begin your journey with us at a beautiful Adelaide restaurant where you’ll enjoy a sumptuous dinner featuring modern Australian cuisine before transferring to Adelaide Parklands Terminal for a late evening departure. Sleep comfortably as you head north-west, and awake in the vast expanse and beauty of the Nullarbor Plain.

Day 2

Nullarbor Plain

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and then marvel at the ever-changing landscape before settling down to a regionally inspired lunch. Dinner under the stars awaits at Rawlinna (seasonal), the remote and beautiful outpost that borders a ‘little’ sheep station of a mere 2.5 million acres (8,000 square kilometres).

Day 3

Avon Valley and Perth

After a restful sleep, you’ll be greeted by daybreak and breakfast in the picturesque rolling hills of the Avon Valley. Then enjoy a delightful lunch as you head to your final destination of Perth, arriving mid-afternoon.

DAY 1

ARRIVE PERTH

Make your way to Perth where your holiday experience starts after checking in to your accommodation. The rest of the day is at your leisure to discover the many attractions of Perth.OVERNIGHT: Mercure Perth

DAY 2 

PERTH TO ROTTNEST ISLAND

Enjoy your ferry trip from Perth to Rottnest Island. The preferred mode of transport on the island is bicycle - collect yours to explore the many secluded beaches and bays within easy cycling distance. And, of course, there's always the chance of a selfie with the adorably photogenic native quokkas that inhabit the island.After lunching at Karma Rottnest, prepare for a change of pace when you join the Segway Settlement Explorer tour. You’ll learn how to ride a segway and you’ll be led by an expert to the island’s hidden treasures, Bathurst Lighthouse and the Basin swimming area. OVERNIGHT: Karma Rottnest (B,L)

DAY 3

ROTTNEST ISLAND TO PERTH

Jump aboard the Eco Express for a full circumnavigation of Rottnest (weather dependent) where you’ll really see its wild side and its wildlife, including the playful New Zealand fur seals at Cathedral Rocks.After a delicious lunch at Thomsons restaurant, spend your remaining time enjoying the island by foot or bike before the return ferry to Perth.OVERNIGHT: 2 nights Mercure Perth (B,L)

DAY 4

LEISURE DAY

Today is yours to enjoy the vibrant Western Australian capital. If the hands-on adventures on Rottnest Island left you wanting more, we may have something for you. (B)WE RECOMMENDPinnacle Desert Explorer with Lancelin Sandboarding $169 per person.The first stop on this unique tour is the Lancelin Sand Dunes where you’ll experience the adrenaline rush of sandboarding down massive sandy slopes. After lunch at the Lancelin Beach Hotel, there’s time for a quick swim before the onward journey to Nambung National Park to walk the mystical Pinnacles Desert created over millions of years by the erosion of seashells.

DAY 5

BOARD THE INDIAN PACIFIC IN PERTH

This morning join the Indian Pacific and, before long, you’ll be heading through the delightful Avon Valley. Take time out to enjoy this iconic train and its many creature comforts. Enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the Outback Explorer Lounge with fellow travellers in anticipation of your late-night arrival into the gold-mining township of Kalgoorlie where you’ll enjoy an Off Train Excursion.OVERNIGHT: 3 nights Indian Pacific (B,L,D)

DAY 6

INDIAN PACIFIC, NULLARBOR PLAIN

Wake to a spectacular Nullarbor sunrise. Relax throughout the day taking in the outback vistas before visiting the extraordinary and slightly eerie ghost town of Cook, home to a thriving population of four. (B,L,D)

DAY 7

INDIAN PACIFIC, ADELAIDE AND BROKEN HILL

As the landscape changes again and rich ochre sands make way for forests and farmlands, you will arrive into Adelaide in the morning where a range of Off Train Excursions are on offer. Take a behind-the-scenes tour of Adelaide Oval or see the highlights of the city on foot or by coach. After a rewarding experience in the South Australian capital, return to the Indian Pacific to continue the journey toward Sydney. Your next stop is Broken Hill where you’ll have a choice of excursions that showcase the rich mining, artistic and cinematic legacy of this frontier outback town. Re-join the train for dinner and the continuation of your journey. (B,L,D)

DAY 8

INDIAN PACIFIC, BLUE MOUNTAINS AND SYDNEY

Wake this morning to take in the full spectacle of the Blue Mountains on Sydney’s doorstep. After your arrival into Katoomba, select from numerous mountain experiences.See the majestic Three Sisters at Echo Point and the views at Jamison Valley before the culmination of your epic transcontinental crossing.
